Adding an Office Printer
Our offices utilize a 'Follow Me' printing system designed for both security and convenience. Instead of printing to a specific machine, your document is sent to a secure cloud queue. This means you can walk up to any printer in any of our global offices, tap your employee badge, and your documents will print right there. To add this queue to your laptop, open File Explorer and type '\\printserver\GlobalPrint' in the address bar. Double-click the icon to install the drivers. Once installed, 'GlobalPrint' will appear as an option in your print menu. This system prevents sensitive documents from sitting in a tray for hours and reduces paper waste by automatically deleting unreleased jobs after 24 hours.
Scanning to Email and OneDrive
All of our multi-function printers are equipped with high-speed scanners. To scan a document, place your pages in the top feeder or on the glass and tap your badge to log in. Select 'Scan' on the touchscreen. You can choose 'Scan to My Email' to receive a PDF directly in your inbox, or 'Scan to OneDrive' to save the file into a dedicated 'Scans' folder in your cloud storage. We recommend the OneDrive option for larger documents, as it avoids email size limits and makes it easier to organize your digital files later. You can also select 'OCR' (Optical Character Recognition) in the settings to make the resulting PDF searchable, which is highly useful for archiving contracts or technical manuals.
