Single Sign On Integration Guide

What is SSO

Single Sign On (SSO) allows you to use one set of credentials to access multiple applications across the organization. This reduces password fatigue and streamlines your daily workflow. It works by creating a trust relationship between our central identity provider and third-party applications. When you log in once, a secure 'token' is shared with other apps, proving you are who you say you are without you having to re-enter your password every time. This not only saves time but also significantly increases security by centralizing our authentication logs and allowing IT to revoke access to all systems instantly if a security threat is detected.

Troubleshooting Login Loops

If you find yourself stuck in a 'login loop' where the page keeps refreshing or sending you back to the start, clear your browser cache and cookies. Often, an old or expired session token is interfering with the new authentication request. If the problem persists, ensure your system clock is synchronized with the server time (Internet Time). A discrepancy of more than five minutes will cause SSO tokens to fail for security reasons. Another common issue is having multiple browser profiles active; try using an Incognito window to see if the loop resolves, which indicates a conflict with a stored cookie or browser extension.
